Las Vegas Recap-Part 2

Day #4-More time on the famous Las Vegas Strip with my cousins

This day began late, as we were all exhausted from our eventful family reunion.

We decided to go to the strip once again, and walk aimlessly as we enjoyed the sights and took pictures along the way. We ended the night iat the Paris Hotel, and took the elevator all the way up to the top, all 46 stories.

The view from the top!

My husband & I-It was crazy windy, and freezing that night, but we still had fun!

Day #5-An early Valentine’s dinner & show

My husband planned this day, and I loved every minute. He whisked me away to one of our favorite restaurants on the strip, The Eiffel Tower Restaurant.

We rode the elevator 11 stories up. As you step out of the elevator you get an open view of the bustling kitchen, seeing everything being made in batches, fresh to order. You can also see walls of the vast wine selection.

Turning the corner you see the bar, facing an amazing view of the strip. You’re then greeted cheerfully and enthusiastically by the staff. We were escorted to our table.

This was our view as the night progressed…

We were able to see the Bellagio water show numerous times throughout our dinner.

The  The Eiffel Tower Restaurant is definitely one of the best views of not only the strip, but a wonderful place to watch the sunset. Plan to stay at least two hours. Savor every bite. It’s a great way to slow down from the bustle of daily hurried dinners, and a break from rigid schedules.

After our dinner we wandered around the strip until our show started. We watched the Marc Savard-comedy hypnotist show at the V theater in Planet Hollywood.I really enjoyed this show, it’s 100% audience participation, and at our show we had several volunteers. Marc’s personality made show flow smoothly. We enjoyed it and shared several laughs, mainly geared toward the hypnotized audience members!

Infront of the V theater- An extremely entertaining way to end the night!

Day #6-Our final Night

We met up with family for a quick shopping trip. We had to say our goodbyes here, since the remaining cousins left around 4:00 PM, It’s always hard to say goodbye, but we all vowed we would see each other soon. My husband & I took the latest flight possible (9:40 PM). We spent our last hours in Las Vegas with my brother, brother-in-law, sister, and niece.

We walked around the Town Square a beautiful outdoor mall located ten minutes from the airport. We ate dinner at Kabuki Japanese Restaurant

And then we had to say  more goodbyes :(!

My husband and I can’t wait to return to Las Vegas again!

I did eat a lot more than I planned, and didn’t workout as scheduled, but I was able to re-connect with family I don’t get to see as often as I would like. We made so many incredible memories, laughed harder than ever, and I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. Sometimes when you go on vacation, your health habits aren’t as perfect as they are at home. The key is to try your best when you’re on vacation, but get back on track once you do return home.

The most important aspect of a vacation is a mental break; something your body & spirit need more of then just exercise and tracking calories. I played major catch-up this week, and I can’t wait to show you the changes I’ve made!
